Information of Rocklin and Auburn, California:

Both Rocklin and Auburn, California are in the Western most part of Placer County, and both are part of the major metropolitan community of Sacramento.

Auburn is the smaller community of the two, with a population of just about 14,000 (Rocklin has a population of just over 55,000), but both communities exploded right after the California Gold Rush of 1849. It’s likely that legendary American explorer and trapper Jedediah Smith was the first to settle these communities (establishing villages that would help support their forays into the wild), and after the initial fever of the Gold Rush waned the granite mining operations exploded.

Today, however, both communities are bustling suburbs of the Sacramento city area and support a lot of the commuters that travel from these communities to Sacramento for work on a daily basis. Enjoying an “almost always summer” Mediterranean climate, these communities are great places to set down roots and start a family in – but during the wet season (a stretch of three months during the winter) the roads can get a little bit dangerous.

Personal injury lawyers working in both communities have fairly stable work, as the total amount of injuries and fatalities stemming from traffic incidents in Auburn amounted to 50 incidents, with Rocklin having nearly triple the amount at 159.

Most traffic incidents resulting in injury or fatalities involved automobiles and not motorcycles or bicycles, though 11 people on motorcycles and 8 people on bicycles were injured according to the Office of Traffic Safety in California (for the year 2015).

As we highlighted above, both communities are very popular places for individuals that work or have their careers based in Sacramento to set down roots and call home – with a commute of just over 35 minutes or so, if traffic is moving along at a steady pace. That commute can stretch out to almost 2 hours depending upon traffic flows and the time of day, and that’s when you are going to see the highest level of traffic incidents, injuries, and fatalities throughout these communities.

All in all, however, both communities are among the safest in the state of California.
